The key to this recipe, and this goes for all the cookies I’ve shared on this blog, is to really cream the fats, eggs and sugar until very fluffy; and to under-cook them. Who likes hard cookies, right? I hope you enjoy!
Snicker Doodles 1/2 cup butter 1 1/2 cups sugar 1/2 cup shortening 2 eggs 2 3/4 cups flour 2 teaspoons cream of tartar 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/4 teaspoon salt 2 Tablespons sugar 2 teaspoons cinnamon Mix butter, shortening, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Blend in flour, cream of tartar, soda and salt. Shape dough into round balls. Mix cinnamon and sugar in a seperate bowl. Roll dough into balls and place on lightly greased cookie sheet and bake @ 375 degree for 6-7 minutes. Let set on cookie sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
