This breakfast is so simple and affordable, that it is hard to ever justify buying cold cereal. We do keep some on hand here and there but are big believers in hot breakfasts! Top with whatever you wish….we like a light sprinkling of powdered sugar.
Enjoy!
Tawna
German Pancakes
In a pie plate, place a half cube butter, cut up into slices.
Preheat your oven to 450 degrees, and set pie plate with butter inside while it is warming up. You want the butter to melt and be very hot (watch it though so it doesn’t burn)
In the meantime, whip together:
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cups flour
3 eggs
Beat with a beater until very frothy. Pull out the pie pan from the oven, pour in the batter, and return to the oven. Bake for 20 minutes or until large bulges have risen and are browned. Feeds four easily…..double if you need to feed 5-8 people. Slice and serve with your favorite toppings.
