Our little guy lost his first tooth yesterday.
Grandpa pulled it out before school started. (Grandpa lets all the grandkids know that if he pulls it, it’s worth $5).
Well, Kel was pretty excited to see it again when he got home from school. He immediately went to the basement, where we are staying right now, to find it in its little plastic baggy. And then he immediately dropped it into Grandpa’s frieze carpet.
And then he cried the rest of the night.
To help him go to sleep, Dad had him write a note to the Tooth Fairy. This is what we found under his pillow:
Then Mom and Dad went on a tooth hunt. We would have stayed up all night to find that thing! Dad came up with the genious idea to get out the vacuum, take the bag out, and run it over the carpet until we heard the “clickity-clack” of a small tooth (I know, he’s smart like that). And we actually found it! Those teeth are so tiny!
Then Dad (tooth fairy) had this placed under Kel’s pillow, along with one dollar and his tooth (you’re welcome Grandpa….you’ll be able to keep kids coming to you to pull their teeth):
