My sister made this recipe for me when I visited her in Virginia 7 years ago. It always tasted so good, and I couldn’t believe how easy it was. Now it is a staple at our home when we need something fast and hot in the winter. I also make it a ton in the summer, and throw it in some salad with olives, corn chips, and a big dab of sour cream. (And I didn’t have a great picture of it, but thought these food varieties looked pretty…image via Public Domain Pictures).
Easy Chili 1 pound hamburger or sausage Brown with a half of an onion, chopped fine. Add: 1 can light red kidney beans (with juice) 1 can dark red kidney beans (with juice) 1 can white kidney beans or a white variety of bean (with juice) 1 can petite diced tomatoes (or any kind you like) 2 Tablespoons chili powder 1 Tablespoon brown sugar Heat until hot and bubbly. Works great in a slow cooker.
