Today I’m honored be chatting with all of you at Kim Thacker’s blog!
Kim and I knew each other a little bit from high school.
This year, she has started an “Inspired by….” series where she talks with people from different creative professions. Here’s how she describes it:
“I am inspired by or receive pleasure from so many lovely things in this world, many of which were introduced to me by friends. I hope to do the same for others, which is one of the major reasons why I review and recommend books on this website. I love talking books! But I have felt for a long time that I would like to share more of the things that I love—whether those things be beautiful places I’ve visited, paintings I’ve admired, or recipes that have made me curl up in a ball of sheer happiness.
A few months ago, I started planning how I was going to share the things that I love and that inspire me…but I didn’t get very far in my planning, because the idea started to feel kind of flat. After weeks of pondering, I decided that rather than posting pictures of things I adore (which had been my plan), I would spotlight the people who create those things. I would spotlight other individuals who work in creative, artistic fields.
“Inspired By” is an interview experience that began in January of 2012. In a nutshell, I get to interview creative artists of every variety, whose work is of the sort that inspires me, and I get to share these interviews with you!”
It was so good to have contact with her again (it’s been a long time!). Her questions for me made me think a lot, and I had tons of fun! So go over and see cute-as-a-button Kim! There are other great interviews you’ll love as well…….
xo,
Tawna

I’m so thrilled that you agreed to this interview, Tawna! You’re so talented. And thank you, thank you for leaving out the old dance pictures… 😉
