I love the New Year. When the old year dies, it lets us forgive and let go of everything that didn’t serve us. Then we have 365 days of new starts.
As 2018 begins, I want to tell you I am thankful for you.
Yes, you.
You’ve trusted me to help you with your design work. On top of that, you’ve given me invaluable feedback about the things I can improve on as caring friends. What a blessing!
Seth Godin coined the phrase that “worthwhile work is a duet”. It has taken your feedback to move my work to a better place.
Now my renderings will be even better. This is how:
1) I will now be creating wall colors with acrylic paint. Watercolor dries darker or lighter than when it is mixed, so getting complicated grays and other neutrals accurate was very difficult (if not impossible). Plus they always had a transparent look, and wall colors don’t. Switching to acrylics will improve my accuracy plus give the look of a painted wall. Win-win! I’ll continue using watercolors where they shine the brightest.
2) The original painting size has gone up to 11×14! This will make detail work easier for me, and you’ll get a bigger display for your clients.
3) The original painting will now be created on #300 lb. paper instead of #140 lb. paper.
4) I’ve added a flat $25 shipping fee that can be paid at the beginning of project with the rendering. That way you don’t have to send a second payment later. If the digital image is enough for you, you can skip shipping the original altogether. It’s up to you. This saves us both time in billing and paying.
I believe in worthwhile work.
In a world that is looking for ways to cut corners, I am looking for ways to make my work better. Here’s to a New Year of better service and better quality.
Let’s make it the best, together.
