Good morning!
Today I’m excited to share a fun project with you.
This project started with my husband and his business partner. They were building a new home for a young family. The homeowners had a very clear vision of what they wanted. They asked me to jump on board to help them design their cabinetry. They wanted to make it look beautiful as well as maximize its functionality. I love custom cabinetry, and I was excited to help them. Together we worked on their fireplace, kitchen, office, laundry, and master bedroom cabinets.
Here’s a shot of their beautiful home before they moved in:
Here’s a quick view of their entry/office area:
One of my favorite parts of this project was drawing the fireplace. Thanks to my local custom cabinet shop (Woodworks Unlimited), it turned out stunning! I snapped the photos right before the last few pieces had been installed.
Here’s the layout of the kitchen:
I was so happy with the hood vent and the tapered, square legs of the island. The hood vent over the stove mimicked the fireplace on the other side of the room (they are open to one another).
Backsplash and paint colors were picked by my client.
Onto the master bedroom. The client had the light fixtures and mirrors selected. She had three inspiration photos she couldn’t get to blend like she wanted, but we were able to work a little bit of each one into a cohesive design. She then finished it off by selecting the tile backsplash and knobs (again, I shot these photos before everything was installed).
And finally, here is the laundry room.
It may sound cliche, but I am so grateful for my wonderful clients! They put a lot of trust in me, and I feel extremely lucky and honored to be a part of their projects.
I hope you enjoyed a look into this beautiful home. Happy Monday!
