Exterior Lights for the Farmhouse

Have you guys noticed I’ve started calling our house the “farmhouse”?  We don’t really live on a farm, but it is totally a farmhouse. It’s fun and heart-warming to call it that, I think…… maybe because I grew up in a farmhouse??

*shoulder shrug*

Anyway, you’ve seen our siding worked over this whole summer, and now I’m making plans for all of the missing light fixtures we tore off (currently just wires sticking out of the siding).

While one of my first choices would be a Visual Comfort light, like this Chart House Suffork Arm Lantern, they cost a small fortune.  Alas, it just has to inspire us!  Isn’t it a thing of beauty?

Then I stumbled upon this adorable light from Hinkley Lighting, called the Bingham.  I loved it’s lines/finish as well.  It comes in what I would consider a medium price range.

So I kept looking, and then I found this Murray Feiss Market Sqaure exterior light, which has beautiful lines…..

and this Murray Feiss Whitaker light, which looks very much like the first Visual Comfort light I showed you.

I thought I would tell you which one I had chosen, but I honestly still can’t decide!  So you tell me, between the bottom three lights, which one would you choose?  I like something about all of them!

Oops, not sure what happened on my last comment. I like the middle one!!

  2. I really like the last two. The very last one is my absolute favorite though. It’s not your typical lighting and I think it really adds to the farmhouse look.

  3. Love the bottom one. It is clean and looks timeless.
